"I will put you in your place."

Satya is an extremely focused young woman who is determined above all things to bring order and harmony to those who lack it. Having lived in squalor and chaos at a young age only to be plucked from that environment and raised by a corporation that instilled those values securely in her mind, it's little wonder.

It would be a mistake to take her for a emotionless tool, however. Her passion is the reason she proved a prodigy among her peers, and while others followed the rules to the letter and saw things in cold, hard numbers, the woman who would become Symmetra chose to wield her unique technological skills with the flare and art of the dances native to her country. Her flexibility extends to her combat training as well. Her weapon of choice is multi-purpose (because why limit yourself when you can create anything you please?) and can fire powered shots, latch a draining arc of energy onto a foe to knock them out, or fire a shield. There is a reason Vishkar saw her in more than the simple potential to build cities brick by brick, but an opportunity to go out as a agent of their interests to help shape the course of the world's development, beyond the boundaries that had once contained her.

It's also important to mention that Symmetra is confirmed to be on the autism spectrum, a fact reflected not only in her focus and her impatience with anything less than perfect (even from herself), but in a dislike of crowds, an inability to empathize, and general trouble socializing with others. She prefers to work alone, where she can devote all of her energy into solving the problem at hand.

"Such a lack of imagination."

Symmetra favors nonviolence and diplomacy, even if she herself has little sense of empathy for other people. As she sees it, all people have a function, a purpose, and a place, and it is their responsibility to seek it out. If they do not, a reminder may be in order, but it is clearly for their own good. She honestly wants to do good in the world and see everyone thrive, but her own life experiences have taught her that surrendering oneself entirely is the only surefire way to bring about peace and harmony. After all, she's done so and excelled. Why couldn't anyone else?

Ruthless without being brutal, passionate and poised, she's a very complicated woman at heart.

Depowering/humanization: N/A, she is a normal human, albeit with the talent to use light-bending technology. This is apparently a rare trait in her world, so that may come into play later.

Her left arm below the elbow has been replaced with a cybernetic prosthetic. In it, Vishkar added tech that would allow her to further harness her light-bending abilities, which use "hard-light technology" (vague techspeak is vague) to construct literally anything she can think of. Bridges, turrets, shields, even chairs for her to imperiously sit upon.

Obviously, this tech will be nulled on arriving, and her arm will function like any normal prosthetic. Wouldn't really be fair otherwise.

Placement preference: Cetaganda, 100%. Their goals and motivations appear similar enough to that of Vishkar that Symmetra would have no qualms whatsoever in signing up with them.

Character goals: Symmetra is a creature obsessed with order. Freedom to her is an illusion that causes more harm than good, and people will ultimately be happier and better off if they are shown the error of their ways. She would prefer peaceful solutions, of course, but sometimes a cause is worthy enough to fight for. And people who are suffering clearly need to be fought for. Whether they appreciate it or not.

Sample: SAMPLE THIS...I'm sorry. I'll show myself out.
